Volterra is an amazingly beautiful and not yet so much touristic village. If you liked Siena, you will love Volterra. This ancient village starts its history with the Neolithic Age and the Etruscan people. Volterra was the heart of Etruria (the former name of Tuscany). Walking among the streets of this village is always a breathtaking experience and weddings in Volterra are held inside the famous Palazzo dei Priori in the car free center.
Volterra is a perfect location for weddings being in the heart of Tuscany, 30 minutes from Pisa airport, 15 minutes from San Gimignano and 30 from Siena or Florence. In summer several activities are organized there around and also you might be lucky enough to be able to attend to a concert by Andrea Bocelli who was born and lived in the proximity of Volterra.
