The original medieval castle was developed over the years to become an aristocratic villa and estate. During the 17th and 18th centuries much renovation work was carried out to the frescoes and delicate mouldings so that the Borgo eventually became an elegant country retreat. Today the estate encompasses the main villa and the surrounding farm buildings, including a hayloft, a workshop and an administrative building. In 2003 the whole Borgo was painstakingly restored under the guidance of the Italian Fine Arts Commission and the property was thus transformed from a country manor into a unique, modern holiday resort. Legally binding weddings can be celebrated in the town-hall nearby and all of the guests can be accommodated in the borgo (there are 68 apartments), symbolic weddings can take place in one of the areas of the main palace or by the pool or in the garden. Considerations about the Borgo: The local town hall is 1km far and they allow outside weddings. The Borgo can rent a salon or a shaded external area or poolside for the celebration, here you will be able to have the appetizers served. Then the wedding can take place under an outside covered area, and having the open bar served inside the enoteca where music can play for dancing (internal area ex winery of the Borgo) |
| Accommodation: The Borgo has 68 apartments of different sizes that can accommodate 1-2 up to 4-6 Services: 2 swimming pools (1 of which is heated). Apartments are located in the refurbished farm buildings and offer simple but comfortable self-catering accommodation. All of the individually furnished apartments are equipped with satellite TV, microwave and air-conditioning.
