The Wedding of Svetlana and Maxim
The wedding of Svetlana and Maxim took place at the end of November at the Four Season Hotel, in front of friends and family, many travelling from Russia.
The colour palette reflected the meeting of Autumn and Winter, with the white and cold gray of the dress and overcoats and the deep reds and yellows of the details and flower decorations at the ceremony and at the dinner, culminating in the real leafs used as signposts.
Following the ceremony, the guests were driven to Regents Park in a dedicated bus for an informal celebration with Champagne, Vodka and refreshments. Back to the hotel, they had a 5 courses meal and speeches. Particularly heart warming was a Skype video call with the parents of the groom from Russia, projected on a big screen. The couple first dance was “Stand by Me” and then everyone joined them on the dance floor!
The photographic and video service was from Innocenti Weddings, and started early in the morning with Svetlana getting ready in her hotel room.
Despite the wedding being quite an intimate celebration with around 35 guests, Svetlana and Maxim opted for a full photographic service that will keep their memories alive always, and a traditional album to share them with all the friends and family that couldn’t travel to be with them on their Big Day. They opted for a modern documentary photographic style during the ceremony and the celebration, with natural shoots and a very unobtrusive approach, and set aside 1 hour for a more posed portrait session of the couple alone.
