The Perfect Wedding Planner

We had the great pleasure and honor of having Francesca Resciniti "Francina" as the wedding planner for our wedding at Villa Corsini in Mezzomonte.
Francina turned out not only to be a true professional but also a precious resource over the course of 9 months, to the point that we now consider her a friend, as she became part of our daily lives despite being more than 1,000 km away.
She introduced us to the best vendors and negotiated every single one of our requests with them, without ever influencing our choices (which, funnily enough, always ended up coinciding with hers). She has a remarkable ability to listen and to solve problems creatively, always approaching last-minute challenges with positivity and determination. Francina was also an amazing partner during the menu tastings when my husband couldn’t be there—we had so much fun together that I didn’t want to part ways with her anymore.

Civil wedding for Canadians getting married in Italy

My husband and I are from Canada, and we decided to get married in Italy in May 2025. Our preference was to getting married legally in Italy (rather than having a symbolic ceremony) and we knew the civil process was lengthy and tedious.
We reached out to Efffetti Wedding Planners to learn about the process to get legally married in Italy. From the first call, Francesca was extremely informative, helpful, and straightforward in explaining the process. As we worked through the required documentation, she sent reminders and information to ensure we were on track with our documents. It really took the stress out of an otherwise overwhelming logistical process.
The day of our wedding, we met with Alessia, our officiant! She led us through the legal wedding ceremony, organized a meeting with our town hall, and led an absolutely beautiful ceremony. Everything was absolutely perfect and we were so grateful for her support and putting us at ease - especially in working with the town hall to delay our ceremony when we were running late!
After the wedding, we had clear instructions on marriage certificates that would be mailed to us in Canada, and steps we needed to take. The certificates arrived to us on a very timely basis. Months later, I experienced an issue changing my last name, and Francesca/Alessia were kind enough to send me an updated document.

Easy and smooth process, start to finish!

A huge thank you to Francesca for making our elopement dreams come true! We were initially hesitant when deciding if we wanted a civil or symbolic wedding in Italy, because we heard about all this scary and lengthy paperwork. We scheduled a call with Francesca just to learn more about the process, and to see if a civil wedding in Italy would even be feasible during our 2 week Italy trip. We had no idea where to start, but Francesca was very informative and walked us through the necessary paperwork to be done in Canada, timeline, and made helpful suggestions for cities and towns that met our criteria. She also sent us photos and pricing of the venues we were interested in. We were fairly certain we wanted to proceed with the civil wedding in Italy after speaking with Francesca, as she answered all of our questions and dispelled a lot of uncertainties. Honestly, the paperwork wasn't so scary either. Just make sure you allow enough time to get all your documents in order (Francesca even sent us a reminder email!), and it will be no problem.
We felt Efffetti was extremely professional and not pushy at all. We had spoken to other companies, ranging from people hounding us every few days for a response, to people flat out rejecting us as clients because all we wanted was a simple town hall ceremony with no other guests present. We also thought the pricing was quite reasonable (we had gotten several quotes from other vendors). In our package, translator/witnesses was included, as well as all the document legalization for the marriage certificates. It was such a relief to know that all these things were already included in our package, without any hidden or additional fees!
Francesca always responded to us in a timely manner, even during the busy wedding season. On the day of the wedding, I was so nervous about the pre-wedding meeting and having all our paperwork in order, but it was such a smooth and easy process. Even the town hall staff spoke highly of Francesca and knew she was always prepared!
If you're thinking about eloping in Tuscany, we highly recommend Efffetti. Our wedding was everything we hoped for, and MORE! (I mean, who can say they ate at a Michelin star dinner on their wedding night?!) I am also really glad we ended up doing a civil wedding instead of only a symbolic wedding. Francesca did a fantastic job for us throughout the wedding planning process. As two Canadians hoping to elope in Siena, Francesca did an excellent job communicating deadlines to us, meeting deadlines, and checked in with us throughout the process to see if we required any help with the application process.
Once in Siena, Francesca was prompt, on time, and was able to translate everything to us when we needed to meet with the Siena City Hall staff. My daughter got married on Saturday, 22.07.2023 in Rome, and living in Zurich, we relied on Francesca who followed all the bureaucratic formalities and contacts with the various vendors and was always willing to clear up any doubts in very few minutes. Wedding Celebrant - Azzurra

The run up to the wedding, Azzurra was responsive, friendly and helpful. We were fortunate to meet in person and decided to go with Azzurra as our wedding celebrant. Azzurra provided structure and ideas for both the ceremony and the vows which were very helpful. The day was stress-free and fuss free which is what every bride and groom need.
She held our ceremony in English with nice interwoven Italian throughout.
Overall the ceremony was the right length and personalised to us, which worked well.
We have marked down 'professionalism' due to a situation post the event which has been slightly more of a negative experience.
Azzurra felt the need to write a negative google review of our venue regarding her personal experience, which we felt was inappropriate given the nature of her role on the day.
Without going into details we didn't feel like it was a professional way to deal with this situation after the event, given how accommodating we were trying to be.

Wedding planner of the century

Francesca and her team have been the most exceptional wedding planners. The lead up to the wedding was seamless and stress free.
We gave a few challenges to Francesca along the way but no was never an answer. Nothing was too much of a challenge or an effort for her. On the day we had rain but Francesca ensured there was a back up option. I can not explain how wonderful she made our day and how well she improvised on the day to make everything work well.

Tuscan wedding

Francesca was kind hearted, patient and helpful. With her help we were able to have the wedding we wished for. Due to Covid we had to postpone our wedding twice and Francesca organized all contracts new and took all of the stress from us.
On the night before the wedding she organized a Pizza night which was absolutely beautiful and on our wedding it seemed like she was everywhere at the same time which made the day go smooth and without problems. Planning a wedding from half a world away may sound extra stressful and challenging, but not when you have Francesca of Efffetti Wedding Planners on your team.
My wife and I both agree that working with Francesca to plan our dream destination wedding in Tuscany turned out to be even easier than if we were to plan one here in the USA. We only had to explain to her our vison, budget, and expected headcount - and she was able to make things so simple for us by drawing on her extensive network of incredible vendors and venues to accomplish everything we could have hoped for.
Having not seen our venue, tasted our menu, or even spoke to most of our vendors (DJ, Photographer, Videographer, Florist....etc) We admittedly did not know what all we could expect. What resulted was the best 4 days of our lives (so far) - Francesca, acting as our eyes, ears, and mouth (neither me nor my wife speak Italian) organized for us a reception dinner in Siena, a welcome party and ceremony/reception at our rented villa that exceeded our wildest dreams and imagination. We were very happy to have Francesca as our celebrant. Before the wedding day, she guided throughout the whole process to make sure that our ceremony isn't boring, too long or badly organised. Absolutely Incredible Planner

I don’t even know where to begin! Francesca has been beyond incredible from start to finish. I don’t know what we would have done if we hadn’t found her. She knew exactly what we wanted our wedding to be and she were one step ahead of us every time! For example - days before the wedding I decided I wanted menus printed for the tables. I emailed her about it (late at night) and she replied immediately to say she’d already had them printed. The woman knows what you want before you do! It could have been so stressful but she made it so easy. The night before the wedding we discovered an undisclosed vegetarian - I text Francesca (again late at night) and she dealt with it instantly. Nothing is too much bother for her and nothing goes wrong on her watch. All of the suppliers were perfect - the food was stunning as was the pizza the night before, the makeup was exactly what I wanted for me and the bridesmaids, the music was fabulous and the flowers were just beautiful. There is no way we would have found those people on our own, and I doubt anything we did find would have been anywhere near as good. And the ceremony she officiated was beautiful! Everything she touches turns to magic. I am so overwhelmed by how incredible it was, and a huge part of that is down to Francesca. I would recommend her to anyone getting married in Italy, especially if like us you’re from another country and don’t speak the language (incidentally, Francesca speaks perfect English). She is organised, is full of fantastic ideas, and above all else is a genuinely lovely person! So glad we found her.

From the first time I spoke to Francesca, it felt comfortable. Even though we were a very small wedding with only eight of us, Francesca made sure that every detail was looked after and we had the wedding that we envisioned. A highlight of our wedding

We had our wedding in Italy with Beatrice. Coming from Canada, we had to make all our arrangements over the internet, which can be a real roll of the dice when it comes to quality. Italian Wedding Celebrants provide an excellent service, with an emphasis on collaborating with the couple in order to build a personalized service. We first met with Beatrice through Skype, where we were able to get a feeling about each other and she could understand the sort of ceremony we wanted to pursue.
Over the course of preparing for the wedding we were provided with a number of options for each part of the ceremony that allowed us to build the wedding we wanted, and allowed Beatrice to get to know us so that things would roll smoothly with very little last minute prep needed on the day of the wedding.
The preparation that they ask for upfront is clearly reflected in the delivery of the ceremony, and it is apparent that for every minute of effort the couple puts into the preparation, IWC returns tenfold. It was an excellent experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

We have traveled internationally many time and typically make arrangements ourselves. An international destination wedding can be fabulous, but we wouldn’t recommend it without the guidance from a professional and we selected a great one. Francesca was wonderful. She provided the details and timelines we needed to make our wedding, perfect. Communication was done via email and WhatsApp which worked very well. We made a last minute error and she calmly problem solved and it all worked out. Nothing like a person fluent in the local language to make things happen!!. All of her recommendations for service providers were on target. With our adult children, we had a wonderful week in Tuscany and then a beautiful ceremony in Volterra. We would highly recommend her company for anyone considering a destination wedding in Tuscany.

As a “second time around” bride, I wanted a simplified, meaningful experience with my husband and closest friends and family. Francesca helped us create everything we dreamed of and more. She was professional, responsive, and took ALL the stress out of wedding planning. I cannot over emphasize how beautiful everything was, and how easy she made the process. We don’t know where to start. Finding Elena was a dream come true. We clicked right away and I knew right then that our wedding would be the dream we hoped for working with Elena. Being in the US and having this entire wedding be site un seen (and with my OCD), I was nervous with how this would turn out. Luckily Elena is just a beautiful soul and amazing person to work with. She knew how to plan everything top to bottom and considered every detail. She understood our vision and budget and helped make our wedding truly magical. We skyped, texted on WhatsApp, and emailed. Our Wedding in San Gimingnao

We decided a year ago to get married in San Gimingnao but had no idea how to go about it. We wanted to rent our own villa and arrange our own catering and as we were only having our family attending then nothing too formal.
Most of the companies we looked at wanted to arrange the whole thing including venues and catering.

Amazing Personalised Ceremony!

Beatrice Giacometti was our celebrant for our beautiful wedding in Tuscanny last August 2018. We came from Ireland where most weddings are in a Catholic church and as we did not want to have a church wedding we opted for an outside symbolic wedding in a private Villa with close friends and family. We found Beatrice and we first had a skype meeting where she outlined the different types of cermonies. She gave us multiple options where we could customize it and also gave us options where we could follow the standard format. All in all, the wedding day was amazing, our guests have continuously told us how the ceremony was so personal which is unlike anything they had ever seen before. There was also many a tear shed I believe!! Beatrice was so professional to deal with and she delivered the ceremony brilliantly. She helped us so much on our special day and was always available before to answer our many questions!

We used Efffetti to translate and legalise our U.K. legal documents (primarily the CNI) into Italian, for presentation to the Comune prior to our civil wedding in Italy. They were easy to work with, quick and professional. Everything we needed. Oh, and good value! Francesca also helped us locate a wonderful translator - Fabio from Lake Como (actually a celebrant) -who acted as official interpreter on the day for one of us.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Francesa and her team! Planning a destination wedding for over 100 people was not easy and Francesca guided us through the process seamlessly - from how to handle our legal paperwork, to securing our catholic church and working with all the local vendors for which we had language barriers. Throughout the entire process, Francesca was a delight to work with. She listened to our "wants" but also provided helpful feedback in a non-pushy or judgmental manner when needed, which we found incredibly helpful. You also could tell that Francesca genuinely loves bonding with her clients and getting to know them on a personal level, which is just so special and something that you do not see everyday within the wedding industry. Perhaps most importantly, for my husband and me, on the day of our wedding, Francesca dealt with every single detail, all of the last minute issues that cropped up, so beautifully that Marc and I were not even aware they were happening. She enabled us to ENJOY every beautiful moment of our day, so that we weren't focused on the details and logistics, and we could get lost in the magic of our day. That, to us, was the greatest gift of all! We love Francesca and truly cannot say enough kind words about her!

Francesca was an absolute delight to work with and after spending time understanding what we’d like and what our personal styles were, she provided a ceremony which was exactly what we wanted. Many of our guests commented on how beautifully apt the ceremony was for us.
In the run up to our wedding celebration Francesca was responsive, informed, clear in her communications and lovely to deal with, which gave us the confidence to feel that everything would go according to plan on the day. Francesca was amazing! We were two couples traveling to celebrate our wedding 30-year wedding anniversary (lifelong friends, each couple married months apart in 1987). Scott and I wanted to surprise our wives with a ceremony to renew our vows. This was all with short notice (we arranged this in weeks… I recommend months for others :).
We were lucky enough to be introduced to Francesca. Via email, she asked all the right questions and customized the ceremony. She even incorporated letters from our children (her idea). It felt like she somehow knew exactly what we wanted/needed. Needless to say, our wives were surprised, and we were all very touched by the event. What can we say, Francesca and the team at Efffetti wedding planners were fantastic!!! My husband and I got married in September in chianti Italy. The process wasn't the easiest (paperwork etc) and Francesca made it extremely easy for us to understand and complete with plenty of time to spare. We met Francesca in Italy when we registered in the commune a couple of days before the big day, such a lovely professional who sorted our paperwork in under an hour. We ran into some unforeseen paperwork issues that caused so much stress to us before we had employed Efffetti. Our wedding very nearly didn’t happen due to paperwork issues. Now it has been a couple of months since we have celebrated our fairytale wedding on the green Hills of Monferrato. It was a really special day, from different points of view.
With reference to the wedding ceremony - "Italian Wedding Celebrants" was the perfect choice for us. Dearest Beatrice has provided a very professional assistance by helping us in making our celebration outdoor, touching and full of emotions. In the double Language German/Italian all our guests could follow the speeches and afterwards were making many compliments about the conduction. Beatrice's calm and engaging voice will always remain in our ears and the love we've received that day will rest in our heart for the entire life.
It was a wonderful collaboration and I would recommend it to every friend or couple searching for something special for their "Best Day".

Beatrice was amazing! She is highly organised and communicated so well with us via Skype on several occasions and via numerous emails giving options for vowels and the format of our ceremony. She had numerous ideas and scripts from which we were able to pick and from here she added in our personal touches. On the day she was very professional, natural, relaxed and reassuring, which was very important as I was very emotional! We couldn't recommend her highly enough!!

Francesca provided outstanding service including the option of having a real Protestant wedding rather than a symbolic one. This is not easy to achieve in Italy. She understands the detailed steps needed for the legal paperwork for Australia.

We can't thank Francesca enough for putting together our perfect day. From the moment we decided to have our wedding in Tuscany Francesca was there to help us through every step of the way. My husband Trevor and I told Francesca what we envisioned and she executed it perfectly. From choosing venues to decorations Francesca put together an even better version than my Pintrest photos I sent her. A large stress can be the budget and Francesca gave us a very detailed spreadsheet which always tracked all of the expenses and laid everything out clearly. Along with organizing the wedding day Francesca also helped us create the perfect experience for our guests during their four day stay at the Borgo Petrognano. We wanted to show our guests the vineyards in the area but didn't know where to start. Francesca gave us two absolutely perfect options for the day. These vineyards were out of a fairytale and so accommodating to our large group. The guests at our wedding still talk about these to this day! On the wedding day Francesca managed our guests and was great at organizing our group who maybe had too many spritzs along the way! It gave Trevor and I the chance to be completely carefree and enjoy every minute of the day without worrying. I can't say enough about how much I recommend Francesca and her services to anybody who is looking to get married in Italy. Our guests and Trevor and I still talk about how it was the trip of a lifetime. We will cherish these memories forever!

We asked Francesca to be the officiant/celebrant for our ceremony in Borgo Santo Pietro, Tuscany this September. Being in the UK it was difficult to research Italian celebrants so we relied on reviews from wedding wire to guide us and they said the best was Efffetti weddings, we are SO pleased we picked her as from day one she was incredible. She really got to know us over the few months so when it came to the day her service was beautiful, loving and heartfelt. We did the normal Google searches when looking for a wedding planner in Italy, we had most of the wedding planned but needed help with the legal side, venue booking, documentation and translation. Most companies tried to sell us packages that were not what we were after but luckily we found Francesca and she understood immediately what we wanted, she even recommended the venue which turned out to be perfect. Every interaction was seamless, professional and stress free both leading up to the wedding and on the day. Francesca was an absolute pleasure to deal with and we cannot rate her highly enough.

Francesca was fantastic from start to finish and fulfilled every wish for our wedding. We would highly recommend using Efffetti and Fracesca to plan your wedding in Italy. Before we set off on the idea of an Italian wedding we have several reservations about doing so - we wanted an authentic Italian wedding - not an English wedding in Italy! The venue, the catering, the photography, the ceremony (in Italian with Francesca translating!) was all thoroughly authentic and classy. The finishing touches too, were all superb. We had a chandalier, we had sparklers for the first dance, there was special lighting in the orangerie. Francesca was able to organise a scooter as a surprise for the day for the amusement of the groom and best men and for the photographers to use as a prop, with some spectacular pictures as a result!
All in all, it was a fantastic day, with fantastic planning and well within our budget. Francesca is hugely talented and professional at what she does and you will not be disappointed if you decide to use her services. :)

We were completely overwhelmed by the quality of service provided to us by Francesca and her team. She was attentive, thorough and always had worked hard to achieve our vision. Once we knew we wanted to get married in Italy, the internet research was on! We came across Francesca and Efffetti wedding services through wedding wire reviews and other blog posts. It's hard enough trying to plan a wedding much less one in a different country. As soon as we had our first skype chat with Francesca, we felt 100% comfortable and relived, we felt like we could trust her to help us plan the wedding of our dreams. We weren't looking for much fuss and wanted something small. Francesca and her team were extremely accommodating to all of our needs (and my million of emails) and definitely helped alleviate any stress and worries one might have from having a wedding in North America. My husband and I wanted to have our wedding ceremony in Tuscany. I searched for wedding coordinators and Francesca was the only one that responded immediately. We made contact around in January 2015 to plan our wedding during May 2016. Francesca helped us tremendously in selecting the place, menu, photographer, flowers, hair and makeup and assisted in accommodating our 15 guests. Francesca was absolutely phenomenal! Everything about the wedding was perfect. We planned from abroad (from the US) without seeing the venue or knowing too much about the area, and everything was above and beyond what we could have ever imagined.
We arrived in Italy on a Monday, and luckily I was able to meet with Francesca at the venue to better understand the vision for the wedding itself, which would be held three days later. If you are not from the area and do not have a chance to visit, I highly recommend meeting Francesca a few days before.

Francesca and her team were so extremely helpful throughout our planning process and while we were in Italy preparing for our wedding. I really wish I had better words to explain how much they all helped. Efffetti helped us organize literally everything having to do with our wedding in Tuscany:

One of the main reasons I chose Efffetti was, after contacting several planners in Italy, they were the only ones who wanted to actually speak to me (via skype) to really learn about us, our expectations, budget, etc. This played a huge role in her ability to make great suggestions throughout the process! Overall we were very happy with the wedding planning service. The ceremony and reception turned out wonderfully. Francesca was excellent with all of the legal documentation aspects both before and after the wedding. The florist that Francesca sourced was amazing. Francesca was very flexible to our requests. Only issues were with responsiveness. There were often delays in responses to emails which can be disconcerting, particularly when the wedding is being planned far away.

Francesca did a fantastic job of guiding us through the paperwork and legalities of getting married in Italy. From day one, she was always affable and prompt at answering emails, took the time to chat with us on Skype and guided us through the whole process with a soothing confidence. No question was too big or small for her!
We asked Francesca to officiate our ceremony and she did the most fantastic job. So many of our guests have since commented on how she 'made' the ceremony, she brought warmth and humour but also sincerity. Before the Big Day she listened and took on board any changes we wanted to make to the ceremony to really personalise it. She embraced any requests and delivered them beautifully!

The process was very thorough and she was accommodating of all our requests, especially me being Vegan, she found me probably one of the best caterers I've ever had at a wedding. Since we did a full weekend she also assisted with coordinating other activities for us; dinners and a full wine tour with transportation.

WOW, where to begin. Francesca is not only a fantastic wedding planner, but a wonderful person! Being from Houston, TX, we ran into SO many obstacles trying to plan a wedding in Italy. Many people planning a wedding in Italy will want a big lavish affair. For this there are many planners who will relish the thought of having the opportunity to charge you through the nose for each element. We wanted one thing, a venue and help in achieving getting married there in an alien language. This is where all but Efffetti fell away.
I can't fault Efffetti on their organising of the day, the weak part was us, not being as organised as we could have been! Despite only paying for the wedding service, we had help in recommendations for accommodation, restaurants, taxis, you name it. Even though we were going to book it ourselves on a very tight budget.

Francesca was an absolute delight to deal with and was so helpful in organising our wedding in Italy in October. We decided to elope with just the two of us and had less than 5 weeks to arranage it from Australia, yet Francesca made it all very simple for us. We met Max at the Australian Consulate in Milan a few days before the wedding to help us with the documentation and then met Francesca on the day of the wedding to finalise details at the town hall. We just had the most fantastic wedding day because of Francesca at Efffetti. When we went online to find a planner who would make the wedding of our dreams a reality I got only two responses that were personalized and not just a form letter. Francesca's Wedding Wire reviews sold us and then skyping with her sealed the deal! From the very beginning, Francesca made me feel comfortable with how the wedding would turn out. I just had a sense that it would be perfect and never was nervous about the outcome. I had no idea of just how perfect it would be!
As soon as we met at the Consulate in Florence, she seemed like an old family friend. When we remember our day, she will always be included in those memories!
Francesca organized everything! The venue at the town hall in Montepulciano couldn't have been more perfect. She secured the restaurant with a beautiful wine cellar location just as I imagined (La Bottega del Nobile) and they closed the restaurant just for us. The food was abundant and flavorful and the staff was the best. She selected the PERFECT traditional Italian musicians who let my father join them with singing and playing the accordion which was the highlight of our day! She created the most gorgeous table-scape at the reception and arrange my luscious dark red bouquet wrapping it herself with the piece of my grandmothers wedding dress. Dream Wedding in Tuscany

Francesca was absolutely fantastic to work with. My husband and I originally planned our wedding for June, but then accidentally got pregnant and decided to move it to August. Francesca helped coordinate moving the wedding date and then planned the wedding of our dreams. I was an extremely difficult client to pin down, due to my pregnancy and planning for my maternity leave from work. With all of that on my plate, I wasn't the best at communicating what I wanted. However, the wedding was more beautiful and seamless than I could have ever imagined. I could not believe how affordable it was, given the quality of the final presentation. We could not have been more thrilled with every detail. The friend who was supposed to officiate also dropped the ball at the last minute, and didn't have a plan, so she stepped in and did it at the last minute. Despite the short notice, she made it so special. I would recommend Francesca and her company to anyone.

We could not have had the wedding of our dreams without Francesca. Right from the beginning, nine months before the wedding, she answered every email I had for her promptly and with every answer I needed. We met with her twice in Italy before the wedding day for paperwork and she explained everything to us (neither of us speak italian). She made us feel very comfortable. It's hard to plan a wedding using the internet, but our wedding went exactly according to plan, if not better, and it was all because we had Francesca to put it all together for us! My husband and I got married in Tuscany on 13 July 2013 - the wedding was a wonderful success and for this we are immensely grateful to Francesca. I reached out to various wedding planners in Italy in late 2102 to enquire about wedding planning services - some did not respond or responded just with price lists. Francesca immediately set up a call with me to find out what sort of wedding we wanted and to get a feel for what sort of people we were.
For the next 6 months Francesca was wonderful, driving us around at weekends to show us venues, arranging meetings with her preferred (all excellent) suppliers and generally keeping on top of all and us informed of all plans/arrangements. Francesca is well organised, committed, immaginative, good at keeping within budgets and has a very friendly and charming personality. I would without a doubt recommend her services. On the wedding day itself she did an excellent job in making sure that everything ran smoothly. Many of our guests even commented that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Without a doubt worth every penny!

Francesca officiated our wedding in Umbria. We were very pleased with the ceremony and many guests commented on how well Francesca did. Her English was perfect (we do not speak Italian). She provided us with a lot of information prior to the wedding about the requirements to legally marry in Italy and gave us the ceremony wording in advance for our review. We used the company for translatins of our legal documents and it was a pleasure. Francesca was always quick to respond and very efficient and when you are trying to arrange a wedding abroad these things really matter. Wow, what a fabulous service from Francesca and her team! Francesca helped us so much from the initial contact, all the way through to the end of the wedding day!
Being in the UK and working full time, we thought we might never be able to organise a wedding in Italy, however with Francesca guiding us all the way, she made our dream wedding come true!
We married in the Sala Rossa, Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Florence.
Some of the things Francesca organised, over and above the ceremony and reception included a double decker bus for the guests, we had some guests needed gluten free meals, the zip on the wedding gown broke 30 mins before leaving for the ceremony.... all orangisedarrangedfixed without any fuss!
We had nearly 80 guests from the UK and everyone has said that it's one of the best weddings they've ever been too!

We are Australians, and while organising the wedding we found Efffetti Wedding Planners to be extremely helpful and flexible with their services, and willing to help us in any way possible. The wedding day went perfectly. It could not be faulted. The Commune and Town Hall were beautiful. The wedding took place in a town rich in its history and different from anywhere else in Australia. Our wedding lunch was also great.

Efffetti had been a very good decision for us. We had been trying to find another planner at the last minute because the first one was not working out; Francesca managed to pull everything back together, and sort everything out very quickly so that our wedding turned out just as we wanted it!
She has so much experience and energy and thanks to this she really does manage to pull off the impossible.
Not long before the wedding we did not have the required paperwork done, nor a church, and we were both not from Florence-but she sprung to action and everything was accomplished methodically and efficiently.
I'm also picky about design and her taste is really very modern and international-she's definitely not behind on anything. If you tell her what you like she really listens and comes up with something nice-my bouquet was beautiful, as well as the rest of the flowers and decor.
She also manages to source things locally, at a good price and an amazing quality! Food, flowers, etc... she knows where to go and how to get the absolute best deals for the quality often with smaller local providers.
I have to mention the paperwork-that was a mess before she came on board. But everything was followed through until the end and she remained in contact after the wedding to make sure everything was in order. Thank you Francesca!
If you have guests coming from out of town, they won't regret it either-she made is an easy and comfortable experience for everyone, from helping with transportation and planning their stay to properly translated text/booklets for the church ceremony.

WOW! What a lifesaver! I contacted Francesca after my previous arrangments fell through only less than a month till the wedding date! We had a wonderful experience with Francesca. She helped us organize our whole ceremony and customize it to be exactly what we wanted - even when we were far away! We were living in Italy when I first contacted this company, but moved to the US during the time before our wedding. Francesca and Max seamlessly arranged the highly important legal and religious processes that need to be followed to allow us to be married legally in a catholic service, without us having to worry. The setting, accommodation, and all other guidance they suggested and provided us with was quite literally perfect for our needs, number of guests, and budget. One of the most important things to say about Efffetti, is that despite an extremely difficult and unforeseen external circumstance that occurred immediately before our wedding service, the Efffetti Team handled the situation masterfully and in the end our day turned out to be positively unforgettable as a result. We owe Francesca and Max a massive 'Thank You' for what they did for us, and we would unreservedly recommend their service to anyone.

After visiting Florence it was the only venue we could imagine for our wedding. We looked online and emailed four wedding planners that offered the service of arranging it. Of those, two never replied, one just sent a price list and Effetti replied asking what we wanted from our wedding and what they could do, showing an enthusiasm for our wedding which mirrored our own. From then on we didn’t even consider anyone else and thank goodness. Over the two years of planning, we had almost constant contact with Francesca and I have nothing but positives to say.
In the beginning there was only a loose idea of what we wanted and Francesca helped expand our vision with experience and knowledge. She always acknowledged and replied to emails, offering friendly practical advice.
About a year before the wedding, we returned to Florence and met Francesca and Massimilliano and went to see Residenza Casanuova (a 5* apartment) and Dei Frescobaldi (a specialist wine restaurant) which they recommended and wow to both! We also went to visit the Salla Rosso at Pallazzo Vecchio where the wedding would take place, and again…WOW! We never felt as if we were being railroaded into any of their suggestions, they were just what we had hoped for. That also goes for the hairdresser and photographer, both of whom were exceptionally good.
So that was the easy bit sorted. Where and when!
Over the next year we had to deal with Registrars in England and Italian bureaucracy needed dealing with as Italian paperwork is a joy to behold! All we can say is thank goodness for Francesca (and Max). Our involvement was essentially following her directions and sending what she asked for. Thanks to her knowledge and expertise it was made easy and stress-free for us, meaning we could concentrate on the logistics of arranging a wedding for around 40 people to attend 1000 miles away.
As the wedding neared, we didn’t have constant demands for money from the different parties. In fact we paid deposits about 6 months ahead and that was pretty much it until the wedding!! And as more questions occurred, Francesca just dealt with them and, about a month before, she sent us the itinerary for the wedding including prices and outstanding payments which were due on the day.
We had to be in Florence two days before the wedding to sign a declaration at the Town Hall. We met Francesca and again she just led us through it and translated everything so we were clear on what was going on. Apart from being totally efficient, she is a complete delight and we chatted for ages after about all sorts.
On the day of the wedding, Francesca was at the Residence early to supervise the hair, taxis, flowers, Photographer and the whole of the bride’s party whilst Massimilliano met the groom’s party at the restaurant so we could set up our favours and confirm last minute details with Francesco (the Head Waiter) who is an absolute star. He then supervised getting everyone in before the bride arrived. After the wedding, they sorted getting the guests into the restaurant for aperitifs whilst Rosa (the Photographer) marched the two of us round Florence for photographs to the cheers and clapping of hundreds of tourists. As embarrassing as that sounds, it’s something we will cherish as everyone was so kind and friendly. The Carousel was a particularly hilarious high point!!
Francesca and Massimilliano met us back at the restaurant and we went in for our meal which I’m not sure I have the words to describe. Francesco and his staff are amazing, the food simply out of this world and the way they suit the wine to each dish, utterly divine.
Francesca stayed until the end of the meal to ensure all was perfect. And it was.
There’s no getting away from the fact that you do have to pay for the service and I would tender a quote at this point. “A cynic knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing” Essentially, to us, the service Effetti provided was worth every penny as they made sure our special day was a complete dream. The only hiccup we had was the best man’s shoes!! (but that’s another story)

I was worried that planning a wedding abroad in a country where I don't speak the language would be stressful and complicated. But I cannot believe how stress-free and easy Francesca and Massimiliano made every step of the process. They are AMAZING! We are Americans who married in Italy in a Catholic- legally recognized ceremony -so there was a lot paperwork but the process was made so easy. We had help at every turn. It's quite daunting to book a wedding abroad without knowing the area so it was geat to have an expert who could help and advise without us seeing things. it was especailly lovely to have someone who was genuinly interested in the wedding too rather than just selling us extras! We started planning our wedding a year before and just contacted all kinds of wedding planners but Efffetti was the one who called us back and asked what we had in mind, We then actually went to Italy for a week and Francesca and Max drove us around to show us different places for the ceremony as well as different locations for us to celebrate and stay with our guests. Once we had decided what we wanted she and Max had a coffee with us and chatted about ideas and costs etc. We had a very good idea of what we were prepared to spend, especially after having been to wedding fairs in England and being shocked by some of the prices.
we sent Francesca emails through the summer with ideas of table decorations, flowers etc anything we liked. She would then sent emails back with prices for it or other ideas (e.g. when the flowers we wanted were not seasonal and were too expensive etc). The thing we really liked that it wasnt embarassing to say when things were too expensive or not our taste. Francesca would always find an option that suited our budget.
We also started getting all the paper work ready, which Francesca had given us a list of to let us know what exactly it was she needed with our German/ Engllish-Indian backgrounds. Thanks to their organisation our wedding went smoothly and very relaxed and they created a day for us we will never forget.

Francesca and Max were brilliant, before, during and after the executive partner event we held. The location and overall experience was the best our business partners had experienced. Throughout the planning Francesca was able to call upon her year's of experience, professionally and regionally. The management of the event was tops, allowing our business meetings (the core purpose) to be held without incident. The evenings and networking were also highly effective as the focus could be on our business partners, not on logistical details (Francesca managed every detail for us!). Max's creative eye ensured that we captured this special event via photo books, while also helping to smooth many of the transportation details, background hosting and generally ensuring an enjoyable time was had by all.

Once we had decided we wanted to get married in Tuscany I did a lot of research into cost etc, and was a bit daunted by how many wedding planners wanted to organise a huge wedding, reception and even your accomodation, which obviously created a massive bill! There were very few who seemed to be interested in just organising a small ceremony and reception, until I found Francesca! From the first time we spoke I knew she would do exactly what we wanted, it made no difference that what we wanted was tiny, and give it the same attention as she would have done a huge wedding!
In reality she surpassed all of our expectations, she was available at all times to answer any (sometimes extremely silly!) questions we had, and never treated us as though we were being a pain in the rear! As a result we had the most amazing time in Tuscany, and our wedding day was the best day of both our lives. Francesca and Max were both so supportive and we feel as though we have made friends over and above it being a service that they provided.

I spent lots of time researching online and through email potential wedding planning services. I was going at hiring a planner "blind" as that I had no contacts to rely on for recommendations. I was at a point of frustration with other companies not responding to requests, or if I did get a reply, not considering my budget.
