Wedding flowers
In Italy you will still see many weddings in white, with white roses as the classic choice, but more and more couples choose bright colours that follow the season and the style of the day.
Flowers decorate the ceremony, the main table, each guest table and, of course, the bride. Seasonal flowers are always the best choice: tell us what you love, and together with the florists we trust in Tuscany we'll find the right solution for your wedding.
Flowers have been part of weddings in Italy for over two thousand years. In ancient Rome the bride wore a corolla, a crown of herbs, flowers and leaves that, according to the grammarian Festus, she had to pick with her own hands.
Tuscany has its own wedding masterpiece. Botticelli’s Primavera, now in the Uffizi, is thought to have been painted for a Medici wedding in 1482. Botanists who studied it during its restoration counted more than 500 plants, almost all of them typical of Tuscany: daisies, violets, roses, cornflowers, irises and, above the figures, orange trees, a Medici emblem and an old symbol of marriage.
That is why, in Italian, fiori d’arancio, orange blossom, simply means “wedding”. Queen Victoria wore a wreath of orange blossom when she married in 1840 and made it fashionable across Europe. Her family also started another tradition: since 1858, royal brides have carried a sprig of myrtle from Osborne House in their bouquet, from Queen Elizabeth II to Diana, Catherine and Meghan.
Today almost anything goes, from all-white bouquets to wild, colourful ones. Tell us what you love: our florists will work with what the season offers, which is always what looks most beautiful.

Photographers and videographers
Choosing the right photographer is one of the most important decisions you'll make. We work with a selected group of wedding photographers and videographers in Tuscany: you look at their portfolios and choose the style that feels like you.
Already found your photographer? We'll happily coordinate them with the rest of the day. The photos on this website are theirs: see our photo credits.

Music and entertainment
A wedding has very different moments: the emotion of the ceremony, the conviviality of the aperitivo, the joy of the dancing. Each one deserves the right music, from a string quartet or a solo soprano to a jazz band, a rock band or a DJ.
We organise the music with you and the musicians, guide you step by step through the SIAE permit and suggest venues where you can keep dancing late, if that's what you want.

Questions, answered
It depends on the month: tell us your date and we'll suggest what is at its best, from peonies and roses in late spring to dahlias and wild flowers in late summer. Seasonal flowers are fresher, last longer and cost less. Tulips in summer, for example, can be found, but they wilt as soon as they come out of the fridge.
Of course. We coordinate them with the rest of the day, the timeline and the other suppliers, as we do with our own photographers.
Yes. Any music at a wedding in Italy, live or recorded, needs a SIAE permit. The couple requests and pays for it online before the wedding: it's quick, and we guide you through every step.
In many venues amplified music has to stop outdoors at midnight, and the rules are getting stricter. If you want to dance late, we suggest venues that allow it or have an indoor space.
